The growing globalisation of international markets, the fragmentation and geographical dispersion of the various stages of the production process, the quest for competitive differentiation through speed of delivery, the ability to personalise products and the reduction in marketing margins, among other factors, have led companies to increasingly incorporate and/ or subcontract services at the level of Logistics, transport and storage solutions. 

The Logistics Sector is currently a crucial sector - from the point of view of both consumer and production support - for the perception of the quality and efficiency of the products that rely on it and, in fact, plays a role in determining final prices.

In this context, it becomes vital to create an arena in Portugal that can act as a meeting point between the companies that provide the most up-to-date and effective solutions, in terms of Logistics and Transport services, and the companies that are looking for solutions to face an increasingly demanding and competitive market.

Given this market need, EXPONOR – Porto International Fair and APLOG – Portuguese Logistics Association have joined forces to organise a business event that will act as a hub, bringing together the critical mass that best represents the sector.

And thus LOGÍSTICA GLOBAL – Exhibition of Logistics, Transport and Services is born, to be held at EXPONOR between the 4th and 6th of November 2009.

- To create a showcase of solutions for the Logistics, Services and Transport Sector,
- To help exhibitor companies increase their business turnover,
- To structure a strong publicity campaign involving all marketing and communication components, with the aim of attracting a large number of trade visitors,
- To organise seminars, workshops and other parallel events of great interest to the sector and with a strong capacity to attract professionals in the sector and the media.
